Built For The Client
Who We Help
Ignite provide comprehensive financial planning for young professionals and growing families. We primarily serve clients in the medical and tech fields. Areas of expertise include student loan repayment strategy, tax-reduction, equity compensation plans, homebuying guidance, and long-term portfolios.
Our financial planning mission is to empower you and change your life for the better.
Planned or not, your finances will play a major role in your life. With the right guidance, your financial resources can be tools to help you reach your life's goals.
How To Get Started
We begin with a complimentary meeting. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, learn about your goals, and determine if we’re a good fit working together. While based in Seattle, we can work with clients on a virtual basis throughout the country.

Founder & Financial Planner
I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Student Loan Professional™, Behavioral Financial Advisor™, and Certified Tax Specialist™. I received my degree in Finance from the University of Washington and my financial planning education from Northwestern University.
I am very active in the financial planning community. I provide pro-bono financial planning to a few low-income families as a result of Covid-19, serve as a CFP Board Mentor, and participate on the Seattle Children’s Financial Advisory Committee. In my free time, I enjoy following the Washingon Huskies and playing tennis with friends and family.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I hire you instead of doing this myself?
Who is your typical client?
What is your investment philosophy?
We believe in a disciplined investment approach designed to capture, not beat, the market returns over a long period of time. Our philosophy emphasizes focusing on the items within our control; we have no control over the stock market’s direction or when the next recession will hit. However, we can build an investment strategy that is low-cost, tax efficient, and globally diverse.
What is the CFP® Designation?
The CFP® designation is the gold standard in financial planning. Most consumers believe that all financial planners are "certified," but this isn't true. Only CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals are rigorously trained in 72 areas of financial expertise and must accrue thousands of hours of experience prior to earning their certification. With a CFP® professional, you get a financial planner partner committed to working in your best interest and the confidence that comes with building a comprehensive plan.– See more at the CFP Board's website.
How do you get paid?
Are my investment assets secure?
Yes. Your investments are held at TD Ameritrade, a trusted and well-established custodian bank. TD Ameritrade is insured by the SIPC for up to $500,000 per account type and are protected against losses resulting from the failure of a broker-dealer. An explanatory brochure is available at the SIPC website.
What are your other designations - CSLP®, BFA™, and CTS™?
Do I need a large investment portfolio to work with you?
One of the biggest myths I hear is that you need a large investment portfolio to work with a financial planner. That was the old/traditional model of the industry.
Modern financial planning extends far beyond investments. It involves helping people leverage their financial resources in a way to achieve their best life.
Many of the conversations I have with my clients are not centered on investments. Rather our conversations revolve around goal development, employee benefits, cash flow, tax planning, home buying, and more.
Investments play an important role in achieving your goals, but they are one tool out of many in financial planning.
